The Fully Automatic Flipping Veneer Dryer is a continuous automatic drying system specifically engineered for the wood processing industry. As a vertical-style veneer dryer—also known as a flip-style dryer—it utilizes a compact, multi-layer design where veneers are stacked and flipped to ensure even heat exposure. Unlike traditional horizontal dryers, this vertical configuration minimizes the equipment footprint while maximizing output capacity.

Core Working Principle: Material enters through the feed opening and is evenly spread across the flipping plates. As the plates travel to either end of the dryer, they automatically flip 180°, smoothly transferring the veneer to the next layer below. This design ensures that veneers travel back and forth twice within the same layer, effectively doubling the drying path length without increasing the machine's physical dimensions.

2. Extremely Low Veneer Breakage Rate:The flipping plates are supported by rollers running on tracks within the insulated chamber, ensuring smooth and stable operation without sagging. Each layer has a drop height of only approximately 200mm during the flipping transition, minimizing impact and preventing damage that typically occurs from free-fall dropping.
3. Uniform and High-Quality Drying Results:The flipping plates are stamped from solid steel plates, providing excellent load-bearing capacity and preventing wet veneers from deforming during drying. Combined with a sophisticated air distribution system and variable frequency drive, hot air is evenly circulated throughout the drying chamber. Moisture content variation can be controlled within ±1% to ±2%, ensuring consistently high-quality output. Dried veneers emerge flat, with uniform moisture content, free from wrinkles, end-wise ripples, or crack.

Energy-Efficient and Cost-Effective Operation:Flexible Fuel Options: The heat source can be an integrated biomass combustion furnace that directly utilizes wood waste, offcuts, branches, and other by-products from the peeling process as fuel, significantly reducing energy costs. Alternative heat sources including steam boilers, thermal oil boilers, thermal oil heaters, steam generators, and mold temperature controllers are also available.
Low Power Consumption: The total installed power is typically just over 100kW, and all motors are small-power units designed for energy efficiency. The newly upgraded dryer reduces overall power consumption by up to 38% compared to conventional models.
Minimal Labor Requirements: With full automation—including automatic feeding, automatic collection, and robotic arm stacking—only 2 to 3 operators are needed per shift to handle feeding, collection, and furnace operation.

1. Drying Chamber & Insulation System:Insulated Housing: The drying chamber is constructed with high-quality insulation panels (100mm side panels and 75mm top panels) made from galvanized steel sheets lined with aluminum silicate blankets and rock wool composite panels, minimizing heat loss and ensuring energy efficiency.
Sealed Design: The enclosure is designed to maintain internal temperature stability and pressure balance, preventing steam condensation caused by temperature differentials between the inside and outside of the dryer.
